FAQs
How do I book a tattoo appointment?
Read this page thoroughly first, then head over to the Bookings page to submit a booking request form.
If your booking request is accepted, you will be offered a session time and quote via email. Please note these session times will be held for a maximum of 48hrs. In order to secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit is required to be paid online within the 48 hours of confirming the appointment time. If I don’t hear back from you, the appointment time offered will become unavailable and may be offered to another client. I will provide you with the next soonest availability if you are still interested in booking.
Please allow up to a week for me to respond to your booking enquiry. Your patience is appreciated!
Flash designs are given priority, but custom requests that suit my style are also welcome!
I’m always happy to provide a free touch-up within 12 months (excluding hand and feet placements).
What are flash?
Flash are pre-drawn tattoo ideas. Please check my flash and repeatable highlights on my Instagram page to see what designs are currently available. Only the designs in the repeatable highlight can be repeated, but in most cases I am happy to design a similar piece to a design that is no longer available!
Minor changes to flash designs are ok but if you would like to make multiple significant changes, it will be treated as a custom request.
Flash can only be reserved by making a complete booking and paying a deposit.
Do you send previews of custom designs?
In most cases I will send you a preview of the design two days before your appointment.
How much does a tattoo cost?
My current minimum price per piece is $150. Pricing varies per piece depending on the design, size and placement. Custom requests will in general have a higher price than flash, depending on the complexity of the design.
I will provide you with an approximate quote in my response to your booking enquiry. If you have a specific budget please include it in the form under ‘Other questions/comments’.
Pricing may differ if the placement, size or design is changed on the day of your appointment.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancellations and/or no-shows will result in forfeiting the deposit. You must notify me at least 72hrs in advance if you need to reschedule. Failure to do so will require an additional $100 to reschedule. Unlike the initial deposit, this fee will not be deducted from the total cost of your tattoo.
In the case of emergency/illness I may need to reschedule your appointment. In the event that I need to reschedule I will provide you with as much notice as possible.
How should I pay on the day?
You can pay the remaining amount on the day via bank transfer, Paypal, Wise or in cash.
Where are you located?
My current home studio is Little Art Tattoo at Suite 3, level 1/170 Burwood Rd, Burwood NSW 2134 (next door to Bank of China).
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Bring your valid government-issued photo ID to the appointment. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of your appointment and forfeiture of your deposit.
Wear loose, clean, comfortable clothing over the area you are getting tattooed – preferably dark in colour to avoid staining from tattoo ink.
Get a good sleep the night before your appointment.
Stay hydrated for 24hrs beforehand and moisturise your skin after you shower.
Do not drink alcohol before your tattoo. Even drinking the night before can thin your blood and cause your skin to bleed excessively, resulting in a poorly healed tattoo.
Eat a good meal before your tattoo appointment. It’s very important to keep your blood sugars up and stay hydrated during your tattoo. Bring your favourite snacks to enjoy during breaks. For full day sessions, we will take a 30 minute lunch break halfway through. You may bring your own lunch (we have a fridge available for you to use) or there are many cafe and restaurant options in the shopping centre the studio is in.
Please advise me of any medical conditions you may have before the start of your appointment (asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, allergies, conditions that may affect skin and/or healing, etc).
How do I look after my new tattoo?
At the end of the appointment I will instruct you on how to look after your new tattoo, but here’s a refresher if you need it! You can also DM or email me if you have any issues.
Second skin aftercare guide:
Keep the second skin on the tattoo for 2-3 days. It is normal for plasma and excess ink to pool underneath. Try not to pop or press on it. The edges may start to peel back during this time.
After 2-3 days, you can take off the second skin. Remove it in the shower as the warm water will help it come off. Remove slowly in the shower, pulling the film back across the skin (not straight up) while holding skin taut to avoid irritation.
After removing the second skin, pat the area dry with a clean paper towel and apply a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturiser three times a day for at least a week.
If you have sensitive skin, the edge of the sticker may be itchy. If you develop a rash, skin irritation, or other signs of an allergic reaction, or if the film leaks or peels over the tattoo you can remove it early and follow the above aftercare instructions.
Cling wrap aftercare guide:
Keep wrap on for 2-3 hours after the completion of your tattoo. When you get back to your home/hotel, remove wrap, rinse off blood and plasma with cold water. Pat the area dry with a clean paper towel.
For large tattoos with colour and shaded areas, you will need to re-wrap before bed to avoid sticking to bed sheet.
For smaller tattoos with minor linework/dotwork, you can let the tattoo air out throughout the night
In the morning, rinse off any dried blood/plasma with warm water and a gentle soap
Avoid direct friction/exposure to unclean surfaces/direct sunlight for the first week. Avoid submerging your tattoo in water or keeping it wet for a prolonged period of time. Treat your new tattoo as an open wound.
After the first week, your tattoo should be dry and starting to flake. This is when you can apply a thin layer of tattoo cream three times a day for a week.
Tattoos can take up to 6 weeks to completely heal. In this time frame, please avoid;
Swimming in pools and the ocean
Submerging it in water
Direct sun exposure (sunbathing, tanning)
Touching the tattoo with unwashed hands
Drying with unclean towel
Do NOT pick at flaking skin and scabs
Do NOT rub or scratch the tattooed area
If abnormal irritation occurs, please discontinue any products and consult your GP.
